I met Kathy back in 2018 when her daughter was married and absolutely loved working with the entire family. When she called to tell me that her and Bryan were engaged and asked if I would help plan their wedding I was beyond excited. Kathy and Bryan’s backyard wedding was downsized from 100 guests to an intimate 9 due to the pandemic. Although it was not their first choice, the day ended up being so magical and everything we all could have dreamed of.

Bryan built a “chapel in the woods” for the ceremony and it was the coolest ceremony set up I have ever seen. We rented church pews from Eden Woods Wedding Rentals but the cross (also used two years earlier for Lauren and David’s wedding), the windows and the entry doors were all custom created by the groom.

In lieu of a reception, the couple greeted their guests at the front of the house as they drove by. It was such a fun element of the day as the cars paraded through decorated with signs and honking their horns. Personalized treat stations of mini champagne and sparkling juice, popcorn, cookies and candy were set up along the driveway which Kathy’s kids handed out.

 

A private dinner for the family was served in the backyard at the most incredible table.  A huge floral arrangement hung from a large pergola, yet another of Bryan’s creations. And the round table fit the family perfectly and was set with a classic white farmhouse plate, napkin and menu at each seat.

A very happily ever after is wished to Kathy and Bryan! I am so honored to have been involved in so many of your family’s special days!
